  • Purpose: This guide explains how to send and track emails and SMS messages to tenants within Revela.

Step-by-Step

1. Sending an Email or SMS to a Tenant

  1. Navigate to the tenant's profile in Revela.

  2. Click Actions > Send Email or Send SMS.

  3. A pop-up box will appear where you can type your message.

  4. Click Send, and the message will be delivered to the tenant's email or phone number on file.

  5. Message Tracking:

    • The sent message, along with any responses, will be logged in the tenant’s Activity Log for reference.


2. Viewing Previously Sent Emails & SMS

To access past communications, go to:

Messaging > Email or SMS

  • Email Section:

    • View all sent emails, including:

      • Recipient details

      • Message preview

      • Read/unread status

    • Filtering Options:

      • Search by contact name, subject, or email body.

      • Filter by whether the email was read or unread.

    • Click on any specific email to view full details.

  • SMS Section:

    • View all sent text messages, including:

      • Date sent

      • Recipient details

      • Message preview

    • Click on a specific SMS to see full details.


3. Tracking Email Receipts & Read Status

  • Click "Receipts" in the upper-right corner of the Email section to view:

    • Which emails have been opened and how many times.

    • Delivery status and other key tracking details.

  • Filtering Options:

    • Sort messages by date range, contact, and other parameters.

  • This feature is useful for verifying if a tenant has successfully received and read a message.

Check the Activity Log for a record of all tenant communications.

Issue 1: Tenant Not Receiving Emails or SMS

  • Solution: Verify that the email or phone number in their profile is correct.

  • Solution: Check Receipts to confirm whether the message was opened before following up.
