Login Troubleshooting
Logging In for the First Time
Before you can log in to Revela, you must first have a user account. The process begins when your property management company sends you an invitation or account activation email from Revela. This email contains a link that takes you to a page where you can confirm your email address and choose a password.
If you are a resident, the email will come from your property management company and will include information about your property. Owners receive a registration email that asks them to fill in a few details, create a password, and accept the terms of service before accessing the owner portal. In both cases, users will be guided through the setup process.
Once you have confirmed your email and set your password, your account is active and you can log in at any time going forward.
Logging In to Your Account
To log in, navigate to your company’s Revela login page URL. Example screenshots are included below of each login page (tenant, owner, and property manager).
If you are a resident, use the resident login page URL, which is typically your property management company’s name followed by “.revela.co”:
- Example tenant login URL: https:/umbrellamanagement.revela.co/tenants/login

If you are an owner, use the owner login page URL, which is typically your property management company’s name followed by “.revela.co”:
- Example owner login URL: https:/umbrellamanagement.revela.co/owners/login

If you are a property manager, use the administrator login page URL, which is typically your property management company’s name followed by “.revela.co”:
- Example property manager URL: https:/umbrellamanagement.revela.co/property_managers/login

On your login page, enter the email address associated with your account and your password, then click Log In. If your login is successful, you will be taken directly to your dashboard.
If you see a message that says your email address or password is invalid, double-check that you are entering the correct email (the one that received the original invitation) and that your password is typed correctly. Passwords are case-sensitive, so make sure caps lock is not turned on.
Resetting Your Password
If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot your password? link on your login page. You will be taken to a page where you can enter your email address and click Send Reset Instructions. Revela will send you an email with a link to create a new password.
NOTE: The password reset link is valid for six hours. If more than six hours pass before you use it, you will need to request a new one by repeating the steps above.
When executing a password reset, you will be asked to enter and confirm a new password that meets the password requirements described below. After your new password is saved, you will be signed in automatically.
Password Requirements
When setting or resetting your password in Revela, your new password must meet the following requirements: it must:
-
Be at least eight characters long
-
Include at least one uppercase letter
-
Include at least one lowercase letter
-
Include at least one number
Accordingly, a password like “Revela2024” would meet these requirements because it contains uppercase and lowercase letters along with numbers. However, a password like “revela” would not because it is too short, has no uppercase letter, and has no number.
If your password does not meet the requirements, Revela will display a message letting you know what is missing from your password creation attempt. You will need to adjust your password and try again in order to login to your account.
Resending an Account Activation Email
If you received an invitation to set up your Revela account but never completed the activation, or if you cannot find the original email, you can request a new one. On your login page, click the Need to activate your account? Resend instructions button.
Enter the email address associated with your account and click Resend Instructions. If your email is on file, you will receive a new activation email with instructions for confirming your account and setting a password.
NOTE: Property managers administrators can also resend activation emails on behalf of resident, owners and other employees from within the management interface if a user is having trouble locating their original invitation.

When Emails Are Not Arriving
One of the most common reasons users cannot log in for the first time or complete a password reset is that the email from Revela ended up in a spam or junk folder. Revela sends emails from support@revela.co and noreply@revela.co, so start by searching your spam or junk folders for messages from either of those addresses.
If you still cannot find the email, add support@revela.co to your email contacts or safe sender list. This tells your email provider to deliver messages from Revela directly to your inbox instead of filtering them out. After adding the address, request a new activation or password reset email and check your inbox again.
Troubleshooting Before Contacting the Revela Support Team
If you are having trouble accessing your account, work through these steps before reaching out for help:
- Start by confirming that you are on the correct login page for your role. Residents, owners, and property managers each have their own login page, and signing in on the wrong one will not work even if your email and password are correct.
- Make sure you are using the same email address that received your original invitation or activation email. Additionally, verify that your password is entered correctly — remember that passwords are case-sensitive, and an accidental caps lock or extra space can cause a failed login.
- If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot your password? link rather than guessing. If you never completed your initial account setup, use the Need to activate your account? Resend instructions link to get a fresh activation email.
- Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, or try logging in using a different browser or a private/incognito window. Outdated session data can occasionally interfere with the login process.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact your property management company or reach out to Revela support for further assistance.
