How to Open Debit Cards in Revela
Overview
Revela provides the ability to create physical and virtual debit cards linked to a business bank account. This guide outlines the steps to open a debit card, verify identity, set limits, and issue the card successfully.
Step-by-Step
Step 1: Navigate to the Bank Accounts Section
- Go to the Organization Module in Revela.
- Select the Bank Accounts tab.
- Review the list of bank accounts and choose the account for which you want to open a new debit card.
- Click on the selected bank account.
- Inside the account details, go to the Cards tab.
Step 2: Confirm Identity
- Verify your identity through two-factor authentication (2FA).
- Enter the code received via text message to proceed.
Step 3: Select the Card Type
- Choose between a:
- Physical Card (mailed to the cardholder).
- Virtual Card (issued instantly for online use).
- If selecting a virtual card, enter the recipient’s information to assign the card.
Step 4: Enter Cardholder Details
- Provide the following details for the cardholder:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- Enter the billing address associated with the card.
Step 5: Set Spending Limits
- Define daily and monthly spending restrictions:
- Withdrawal limits (ATM or cash access).
- Purchase limits (transactions per day/month).
- Use '0' for no limit, or enter a specific amount to enforce restrictions.
Step 6: Create the Card
- Review all entered details for accuracy.
- Click "Create Card" to finalize the process.
- If all information is valid and the entity is verified, the card creation will be successful. Virtual cards are activated immediately upon creation. Physical cards must be activated once they are received in the mail by selecting the card from the Cards tab within the bank account page in Revela. Shipping times for physical cards are usually around 7-10 business days but can vary by location.
