# How to Create Recurring Invoices in Revela

If you have an invoice that needs to be generated at a fixed amount on a recurring basis (e.g. a monthly service fee), this can be achieved through the **Recurring Schedule** functionality in Revela.

To create a recurring schedule for an invoice, navigate to an existing invoice you would like to create a recurring schedule for. If the invoice does not yet exist, you will need to create it before setting up the recurring schedule.

On the invoice, click the **Add Schedule** button on the right hand sidebar.

Select the desired cadence that you would like the recurring schedule to generate. When doing so, you will need to enter the following information:

- Next Occurrence (start date) of the recurring schedule
- The cadence of the recurring schedule (monthly, weekly, yearly, etc.)
- The maximum number of occurrences the schedule should have (optional)

Click **Save** to create the recurring invoice schedule.

**Notes**

- To cancel a recurring schedule, go to the most recently created invoice generated during the recurring schedule and click **Cancel** on the right hand sidebar.

- Recurring schedules must be created for invoices **individually** (i.e. multiple recurring schedules cannot be created in bulk for a selection of invoices).

**Reporting**

You can view all active recurring invoices on the *Recurring Invoices* report. Journal entries can also be recurring, and those will display on the *Recurring Journal Entries* report.
