Application Management - How to Transfer an Applicant’s Application to Another Unit

Purpose: This guide explains how to transfer an applicant’s approved application to a different property or unit if they change their mind.
Target Audience: Leasing agents, property managers, and admins.
Step-by-Step

Navigate to the Approved Application

Go to Organization (left menu) > Leasing (top toolbar) in Revela

Locate and click on the approved application for the applicant

Initiate the Transfer Process

In the upper right-hand corner, select Actions (dropdown)

Select Transfer

Select the New Property or Unit
-
On the Transfer Page, choose the property the applicant wants to move to

The dropdown list will only display available units that the applicant is already approved for

Confirm and Complete the Transfer

Review the selected unit to ensure accuracy

Finalize the transfer to update the application details accordingly

- Ensure the new unit is available before initiating the transfer
- The system will only display units the applicant is already approved for—if a unit is missing, check their approval status
- Communicate with the applicant to confirm their new choice before finalizing the transfer
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Issue 1: The desired property or unit does not appear in the dropdown.
- Solution: Verify that the unit is available and that the applicant meets the approval criteria for that unit
- Solution: Ensure the application has been fully approved before attempting a transfer
